Frequently asked questions
Do I need Composer or a build step?
No. There are no external dependencies and nothing to compile. The Excel and PDF writers are hand-written; the JavaScript is plain ES5-compatible vanilla.
Why does my form say "This form expired. Please reload the page"?
A page cache served a copy of the page with a security nonce that has since expired. Exclude pages containing forms from your cache, or shorten the cache lifetime. This is by far the most common cause.
Notifications are not arriving.
WordPress sends mail through your server by default, and most servers are not set up to send mail that survives spam filtering. Install an SMTP plugin and send from an address on your own domain. Do not set the From address to the visitor's email — SPF and DMARC will reject it. Use Reply-To for that instead, which is what it is for.
Will XLSX export work on my host?
It needs PHP's zip extension, which nearly every host has. If yours does not, the export returns a clear error pointing you at CSV rather than a corrupt file.
